Betty R. Thompson
      Betty R. Thompson, 57, died 
Wednesday at St. Vincent’s Hospital 
in Indianapolis.  She was a resident 
of Logansport.
      She was born March 8, 1936, 
in Nineveh.  Her parents were 
Walter Edward Cobb and Myrtle 
F. (Coffman) Cobb.  She married 
Ambrose Daniel ̉DanÓ Thompson 
Feb. 2, 1952, in Franklin.  He
 survives.  Other survivors 
include two daughters, Cindy 
Hutsinger and Tina Spencer, 
both of Logansport; three sons, 
John D. Thompson and Jerry 
Thompson, both of Logansport 
and Steve Thompson of Grand 
Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Elva 
M. Graham of Nineveh; a 
brother, Ben E. Cobb of Bate-
sville, Miss.; and 12 grand-
children.
      She was employed as a 
psychiatric attendant at Logans-
port State Hospital.
      The Rev. Richard Harris will 
conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday 
at Fisher Funeral Chapel in Logans-
port.  Friends may call from 3 to 
8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  
Burial will be at Saint John’s 
Cemetery in Logansport
