Mrs. Euseba Terhune died at two o’clock Monday morning at the home of her son, A. G. Terhune, residing near Amity. She was born in 1825 in Oldham county, Ky., and came with her parents to this county in 1833. On March 17, 1842 she was married to James Terhune which union remained unbroken until Jan. 22, 1891, when the husband died. Seven weeks prior to her death she was stricken with paralysis which affected her lower extremities and rendered her helpless. From that time on her decline was rapid. She leaves five children, viz; T. L. Terhune, Alonzo G. Terhune, W. D. Terhune, Mrs. Lucinda Shuck and Mrs. Emma Shank, all living and residing in this county, W. D. Terhune being the representative-elect to the next General Assembly. She was one of the pioneer ladies and had a large circle of relatives and friends among whom are many of the leading families of Johnson county. Her funeral occurred Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at First Mt. Pleasant church, the services being conducted by Elder R. W. Thompson of Greenfield.
