Mabel (Taylor) Teets
Mabel (Taylor) Teets, 92, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born Jan. 5, 1909, in Bradfordsville, Ky. Her parents were William F. and Elizabeth (Adams) Taylor. She married Charles W. Teets. He preceded her in death in 1985. Survivors include a son, Glen "Brooks" Shreve of Owatonna, Minn.; two daughters, Velma Irwin and Glenda "Janie" McClain, both of Greenwood; five granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by an infant son.
She was employed by Danner’s Five and Dime as a store clerk, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Greenwood Christian Church.
The Rev. Shan Rutherford will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
