DEATH OF MISS LOTTIE RYKER.

––––––––

Her Death Occurred at 3:00 O’clock
This Afternoon.

––––––––

Miss Lottie Ryker died at her father’s home in west Franklin at 3:00 o’clock this afternoon after a four weeks illness of typhoid fever.

She was much worse yesterday and this morning she had six hemorrhages that made her recovery almost impossible. She was conscious of her rapidly approaching death this noon and called for her nearest friends who are in the city.

Miss Ryker was the oldest daughter of John Ryker, her twenty-sixth birthday being last Monday. She was born near Hopewell. She has had the care of the family for several years her mother being dead.

Her many friends in this city will be greatly pained to hear of her death. She was always ready to help a friend, always courteous, always cheerful. She was a thoroughly consistent Christian, being a member of the Presbyterian church of this city.

Arrangements for the funeral cannot yet be announced.
