STONE’S CROSSING.

Grandma Rush one of our oldest citizens, died at her home last Friday morning. She had been in poor health for some time. Funeral services were held at Honey Creek, Saturday af­ternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Myer. She was buried at the Greenwood cemetery. Deceased was 87 years old and leaves several children and grandchildren.

Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Stone’s Crossing, White River Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 54, page 212 records that Elen [sic] Rush died at about 2 o’clock a. m. on 10 Aug 1900 in Stone’s Crossing, White River Township, Johnson County from pericarditis of seven days’ duration, aged eighty-seven years, four months and thirty-one days. She was female, white and a widow, born in Virginia. Her father’s and mother’s names and birthplaces were unknown. The informant was Henry F. Rush. Ellen was buried in Greenwood, Indiana on 11 Aug 1900, J. C. Wilson, undertaker.
