Theodora Marie (Wallis) Rugh
Theodora Marie (Wallis) Rugh, 
80, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, 
in Indianapolis. She was a resi-
dent of Indianapolis and a former 
resident of Greenwood.

She was born Nov. 24, 1920, 
in Indianapolis. Her parents 
were C.H. Theodore and Flor-
ence (Wright) Wallis. She 
married Weldon E. Rugh. He 
preceded her in death. Sur-
vivors include a son, Thomas 
E. Rugh of Indianapolis; six 
grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren. She was pre-
ceded in death by a daughter, 
Debra Melton.

She was employed as a clerical 
worker for seven years by the
 American Baptist Churches.

She attended high school.

She was a member of Garfield 
Baptist Church, where she was 
the treasurer for many years. 
She was also a member of the 
home builders’ Sunday school 
class.

A service will be conducted at 
10 a.m. Thursday at Garfield 
Park Baptist Church in Indian-
apolis. Friends may call from 
5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at G.H. 
Herrmann Madison Avenue 
Funeral Home. Burial will be at 
Forest Lawn Memory Gardens 
in White River Township
.
