Mrs. John G. Roberts died on Sunday morning of heart trouble at the age of 63 years. There were born to Mr. and Mrs. Roberts 12 children, of which she followed six to the grave. Mrs. Roberts bore her suffering without a murmur. She united with the Baptist church 22 years ago and was a faithful Christian, always ready to do her part. The six children that survive their mother are all married and have left home, leaving Mr. Roberts alone. Her son, James, arrived home from Missouri on Sunday evening, but his dear old mother’s spirit had flown to whence it came, there to dwell with the angels forever more. Mrs. Roberts was a most affectionate mother and a faithful companion, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services at the Baptist church at 1 o’clock on Sunday were held by Rev. D. Herod after which the remains were laid in the East Hill cemetery.
