EDINBURGH — Dale M. Robbins, 68, Taylorsville, died Thursday morn­ing at Bartholomew County Hospital.

Robbins was a retired civil service employee, working 30 years at Bakal­ar Air Base until its closing, and was a driver for Roberts Trucking Co. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion in Edinburgh and Rugby Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Charles Lain and the Rev. Gerald Faurote at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edin­burgh where calling hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Burial and military graveside rites will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.

Robbins was born Dec. 28, 1916, in Johnson County, the son of James A. and Effie Kephart Robbins. He mar­ried Clara Maxine Cowin Sept. 3, 1946, and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, Lawrence Dale Robbins, at home; a foster son, Albert James of Edinburgh; three brothers, Everett Robbins, of Franklin, Loren Robbins of California and James Robbins of Carthage; and a sister, Ruth Julian of Franklin.
