  James D. Roach, 62, Greenwood, died
Tuesday at the St Francis Hospital
Center at Beech Grove after a sudden
illness.
He was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Cumber-
land County, Ky., to Johnny and Ona
(Short) Roach. He married Ola Christine
Key and she survives. He worked for the
Associated Track Lines as a spotter for
31 years, retiring this month. He had
lived in the Greenwood area for 31 years.
  He was a member of the Park Avenue
Church of Christ and the Teamsters
Local 135.
  A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday
at the Wilson-St. Pierre Greenwood
Chapel with Brother Don Short officiat-
ing. Friends may call from 2 to 9 tonight
in the funeral home. Burial will be at
Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
  Other survivors include a daughter,
Teresa Ann Roach of Greenwood; a
brother, Truman Roach of Brooksville,
Ky., and two sisters, Ernestine Williams
Dorothy Scott of Indianapolis.
