Death of Charles Ryker.[sic]

Charles Ryker [sic], a well-known citizen of Franklin, died Friday night at 11 o’clock at his home on East Jef­ferson Street. The illness which resulted in death had been of but one week’s duration, it assuming a severe form of brain trouble.

Deceased was born in Mercer Coun­ty, Ky., March 9, 1839, and came with parents to this county in 1849. He served three years and three months in the Civil War. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o’clock at the First Baptist church by Rev. C. H. Hall.
