Mary Maude Richey, daughter of Tapley and Jane Richey, departed this life March 23, 1891. She was their oldest child, having passed her thirteenth mile-stone. She was an obedient child, beloved by her parents and friends. A large audience was present at her funeral which was preached by the writer at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church. The remains were interred in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
