Violet E. (Linson) Richards
  Violet E. (Linson) Richards, 93,
died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at
Franklin United Methodist
Community. She was a resident of
Franklin.
  She was born Aug. 25, 1908, in
Indianapolis. Her parents were
William A. and Anna C. (Karstedt)
Linson. She married Bruce H.
Richards in 1935 in Newport, Ky. He
preceded her in death. Survivors
include four sons, B. Stephen
Richards of Franklin, David D.
Richards of Nineveh, James A.
Richards of Bedford and Kim E.
Richards of Acton; and a brother,
Dr. Robert Linson of Muncie. She
was preceded in death by a sister,
Myrtle Brown; and four brothers,
Dean, Don, Kephart and Ray Linson.
  She was employed by Indianapolis
Public Schools as a substitute
teacher. She was previously
employed by American Art Clay Co.
in Indianapolis as a personnel
manager for five years.
  She was a member of University
Heights Methodist Church. She was
past president of the Southside Art
League and the Indianapolis Council
PTA.
  A service will be conducted at 10
a.m. Monday at G.H. Herrmann
Madison Avenue Funeral Home in
Indianapolis. Friends may call from
2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Washington
Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227, or to
the Southside Art League, 299 E.
Broadway, Greenwood, IN 46143.
