OBITUARY.

Mrs. Sarah A. Doty, wife of Levi Rench, who had been sick with consumption for over a year, quietly passed away Sunday evening at 9 o’clock, Aug. 5, 1900, at her home, one mile north of Bargersville.

She was the daughter of Peter and Christenia Doty, whose family consisted of 10 children. She was born April 5, 1838, and was married to Levi Rench, February 3, 1875. To this union three children were born, John W., Della M. and Henry H., all of whom, together with the husband, survive her. She united with the Christian church of Bargersville, Oct. 16, 1875, and lived a Christian life until death. She was highly respected by all who knew her and in the last hours of life she called her children about her and told them to live a noble life and meet her in the great beyond.

The funeral services were held at the home of the deceased, conducted by Rev. John C. Miller, of Nineveh, whose discourse was touching and sympathetic. She was buried at the Glenn cemetery, known as Mt. Pleasant. Many relatives and friends followed her to her last resting place.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;

A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.

God in His wisdom has recalled
The one His love had given,

And though the body moulders here,
The soul has gone to heaven.
