Lenford “Len” W. Price

Lenford “Len” W. Price, 75, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Regency Place in Greenwood. He was a lifelong resident of Johnson County.

He was born May 25, 1928, in Johnson County. His parents were Ernest and Ruth (Tarter) Price. He married Catherine M. (Hamilton) Price on Jan. 28, 1948. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2001. Survivors include two sons, John Price of Whiteland and Joe Price of Franklin; two daughters, Beverly Tames of Franklin and Connie Coleman of Indianapolis; a brother, Donald Price of Greenwood; a sister, Eva Mae Hamilton of Franklin; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Franklin Com­munity School Corp.

He was employed by Davis & Walter Excavating in Franklin. He later owned and operated Len Price Bulldozing, two Phillips 66 service stations and a Texaco service station in Franklin. He was also employed by Matlock Ford and Bradley Chevrolet as a car salesman.

He was a member of Union Village Masonic Lodge 545 F&AM in Provi­dence, where he was a past worshipful master, and Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He was a former member of Franklin Elks Lodge.

The Rev. Roger Gifford will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Monday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be conducted by Union Village Masonic Lodge 545 F&AM at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery.
