Mrs. Sarah A. Pierce, wife of Joseph [Joel] Pierce, died at her home near Pisgah, on Monday afternoon, from hemorrhage of the lungs. She was been in poor health for two years, but her death was sudden.

Mrs. Pierce was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J Henderson. She was forty-nine years of age and the mother of six children.

The funeral services were held at the Pisgah Christian Church, of which or­ganization Mrs. Pierce was a member. Elder Small, of Edinburg, preached the funeral discourse after which the re­mains were buried in the Pritchard Cemetery.
