Mrs. Goodloe Patterson died Sunday night at her home in the Patterson neighborhood, leaving an infant but a few days old. Deceased was thirty-seven years old and was a daughter of John Springer. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Whiteland Presbyterian church. Burial at the Greenwood cemetery.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Needham Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 178 records that Evaline Springer Patterson died at about 4 o’clock p. m. on 8 Jul 1900 at her residence in Needham Township, Johnson County from gangrene of two days' duration due to puberal septicemia of four days’ duration, contributory cause difficult labor of 24 hours’ duration, aged thirty-six years. She was female, white, married and a housekeeper, born in Johnson County, Indiana. Her father's name was John Springer and her mother's maiden name Davidson, both born in Johnson County, Indiana. The informant was Goodloe Patterson. Evaline was buried in Greenwood, Indiana on 10 Jul 1900, E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
