Mrs. R. S. Parr died Monday, June 22, at Fitzgerald, Ga., and was buried there on the 23d. She was a sister of R. A. Thomas and S. B. Alexander. She was born in Johnson County, where she resided all her life until about a year ago when she with her husband and family went with the soldiers’ colony to Georgia. She had been in poor health for a long time and it was hoped the change in climate would prove bene­ficial. This, however, was not realized and her health continued to decline gradually. Deceased was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church and was a consistent Christian lady. A husband and four sons survive her.
