EDINBURG—Maggie E. Ol­msted, 84, of Edinburg route 1 died Friday at Franklin Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be con­ducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Vandivier Parsley Funeral Home South at Edinburg by the Rev. Stanley Howell. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Persons may call at the fu­neral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

A lifelong resident of Bar­tholomew and Johnson counties, Mrs. Olmsted was born April 26, 1893, to George and Jettie Mae Nichols Crook. She was married to Walter E. Olmsted who died in 1966.

Educated in Bartholomew County, she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin.

Survivors include two sons, Allen Olmsted of Edinburg, and George B. Olmsted of Sarasota, Fla.; three sisters, Ida Weaver of Columbus, Mollie Griffith of Greenwood and Ruby Crook of Edinburg; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Dan.
