LOCAL AND PERSONAL.

==============================

Chas. Myers, a prominent citizen of Whiteland, died Saturday evening from cancer of the stomach. His illness dates back over two years but did not assume a really serious form until about two months before his death. He was a great sufferer during the last few weeks of his sickness. An autopsy revealed a cancerous growth as large as a man’s fist near the pyloric orifice of the stomach. The deceased was in his sixty-fifth year. He was born in Clark county but for the last forty years had resided in Pleasant township and had long been one of the its most honored and substantial citizens. The funeral was held Tuesday; services at the home conducted by Rev. Bert, the Presbyterian minister at Whiteland. Interment at Greenwood.
