Mrs. Sarah Morgan died Sunday morning at her home in this city from paralysis, aged 73 years. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the house, Rev. T. N. Todd conducting the services.

Indiana Marriages, 1780–1992, database, records that Moses Hinds [sic] married Sarah Gatewood on 6 Sep 1843 in Jennings County.

The 1850 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana records thirty-nine-year-old, Pennsylvania-born Moses Hines, his twenty-seven-year-old, Virginia-born wife, Sarah, their two Indiana-born daughters, five-year-old Martha J. and two-year-old Julia Hines, and Sarah’s brother Madison Gatewood.

Moses Hines, born 1811, died 5 Feb 1858, aged forty-seven years, seven months, twenty-seven days, and was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery (Find A Grave Memorial# 136534491).

The 1860 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson, Indiana records 35-year-old, Virginia-born farmer and head of household Sarah Hines and her Indiana-born children, fifteen-year-old Martha J., twelve-year-old Daniel L. and Sarah C. Hines.

Johnson County, Indiana.; Marriage Records 1851–1875 Valume 2, D. A. R., transcribed by Edna Thompson Bice, records on page 54 that Daniel Morgan married Sarah Hines on 21 Jul 1862.

The 1870 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana records sixty-year-old North Carolina-born David Morgan, his forty-six-year-old, Kentucky-born [sic] second wife Sarah Morgan, his son by his first wife, nineteen-year-old Alrey Morgan, David and Sarah’s children, eight-year-old Oliver and three-year-old Mary Morgan, and Sarah’s children from her first marriage to Moses Hines, twenty-two-year-old Julia A, sixteen-year-old Latimore, and fourteen-year-old Sarah Hines. All the children were born in Indiana.
