Obituary.

Died, March 2, of brain fever, the three-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Samony More [sic] of Hensley township, Johnson County.

No more will they hear the merry prattle or see the sweet smile of innocent little Evert. No more will he run to meet papa as at eve he returns from his work; no more will he cheer mama by his sweet presence as she daily performs the duties of life. He has gone forever from papa, mama, sister and brother. He has gone to the arms of one who said, “Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.” So may they find comfort in this, “the Lord hath given and the Lord hath taken away.” He cannot come to us but we can go to him. But, Oh, how they will miss the sweet sunny smiles of their darling. How his little brother and playmates will miss him. What a feeling of loneliness will come over him as he tries to play alone.
