Ray O. Miller, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at Manor Care South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.

He was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Champaign, Ill. His parents were Ray and Bernice (Campbell) Miller. He married Bernadine (Klem) Miller on Nov. 25, 1950, in St. Anthony. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Tom R. Miller of Indianapolis; one daughter, Cheryl Rudolf of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Lois Anderson of Seattle; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Miller.

He was employed for 35 years by Eli Lilly & Co. in Indianapolis in the capsules department.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church and Greenwood VFW Post 5864.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

A prayer service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the Rev. Roger Rudolf will recite the rosary at 5:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
