OBITUARY.

Peter W. McClain was born April 14th, 1866; died at his father’s home in Greenwood, Ind., Oct, 26th 1889, aged 23 years six months and twelve days.

The subject of this sketch was unmarried, and all his life, was an invalid and for the last two years suffered much on account of catarrhal consumption. Pete, as he was familiarly known, was a favorite with his associates, always keeping his companions in a jovial mood—an adept at dry solemn fun—always a good word for all he chanced to meet. He died a member of the Presbyterian church of this place. His funeral was preached at his home, Monday, at 2 o’clock p.m. by Rev. C. W. Tinsley and his body laid to rest in our beautiful cemetery to await the resurrection morn, and we trust to glory eternal. Many kind sympathetic words have been uttered for Pete.
Farewell my boy.
