Rev. J. F. McClain, a former prominent citizen of this city, died at his home in Connersville on Thursday morning of last week, of blood poisoning, age 59 years. The remains were brought to this city on Friday morning and the funeral took place from the M. E. church at 10 o’clock, the services being conducted by Rev. James A. Sargeant, Presiding Elder of the Connersville District, assisted by Revs. C. W. Tinsley and L. P. Marshall, of this city. He leaves a wife and three children, E. C. McClain, of Connersville, Mrs. Rev. C. C. Edwards, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Oscar I. Jones, of this city.
