The little child of Mr. Mahan’s [sic] was buried at the Bargersville cemetery last Saturday.

PROVIDENCE.

The six months old baby of Oliver Mayhan and wife died last Friday and was buried Saturday in the Bargersville cemetery at 4 p.m.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, White River Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 20, page 150 records that Ruth Mahan [sic] died at about 1 o’clock p. m. on 31 Aug 1900 in White River Township from congestion of the brain of three days’ duration, contributory cause summer complaint of ten days’ duration, aged five months and twenty days. She was female, white and single, born in Johnson County, Indiana to Oliver Mahan [sic], born in Davis County, Indiana and [Clara] Verbryk, born in Johnson County, Indiana. The informant was W. Merphey. Ruth was buried in Bargersville on 1 Sep 1900, Covert & Covert, undertaker.
