Marcia Mathena
       Marcia Mathena, 93, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Hickory 
Creek in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
      She was born Nov. 16, 1907, in Providence.  Her parents 
were Alfie and Della (Haymaker) Blaich.  She married Virgil 
C. Parkhurst in 1930.  He preceded her in death in 1941.  She 
then married Grover C. Hoskins in 1942.  He preceded her in 
death.  She then married Donnell Mathena in 1951.  He pre-
ceded her in death in 1995.  Survivors include a daughter, 
Hilda J. Parkhurst Jones of Franklin; a stepdaughter in 
California; two sisters, Helen Jones of Whiteland and Alma 
Oden of Greenfield; a grandson; and many stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, 
a stepson and a stepdaughter.
      She was employed by Reliance Manufacturing Co. in 
Columbus for several years.
      She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church 
in Franklin.
      A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. 
Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River 
Township.  Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin 
is handling arrangements.
