Mrs. S. P. McCaslin, wife of the late Harvey [sic Hervey] aged fifty seven years, was stricken with apoplexy on Monday morning week at 10 o’clock, and after 2 o’clock on that day, was unconscious until Tuesday morning at 7 o’clock, when death came and took her over the river.—Democratic Herald
*Sarah’s tombstone gives her death year as 1873. She couldn’t have died in 1873 as Tuesday, 2 January only occurs in 1872. As additional evidence, the newspaper clipping is also dated 1872.
