JULIA IZETHA HENDRICKS LaRUE

Julia Izetha Hendricks LaRue, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at her son’s residence in Bargersville. She was a resident of Bargersville and a former resident of Franklin.

She was born May 7, 1923, in Sullivan County. Her parents were Ottis Jackson and Stella (Hellinburg) Stewart. She married William Blaine Hendricks on Feb. 29, 1976, in Franklin. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1993. She then married Edison LaRue on Aug. 26, 1995, in Columbus. He preceded her in death in May 1997. Survivors include four sons, Wilbert Lee Harper of Indianapolis, Raymond Lester Harper of New Castle, William Mullis of Bargersville and Ronald Mullis of Boggstown; a daughter, Norma Jean Choate of Indianapolis; three stepsons, David Eugene Hendricks of Boggstown, Michael Hendricks of Indianapolis and Kenneth Hendricks of Tipton; two brothers, Hubert Stewart and Max Hawkins, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Kathleen Soneley and Othella Harlow, both of Bloomington; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Stewart; and a brother, Frank Stewart.

She graduated from Smithville High School in 1941.

She was employed by the Indiana Masonic Home as a nurse’s aide for 10 years, retiring in 1985.

She was a member of First Assembly of God.

The Rev. Kim Sharp will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home, 951 N. Main St. in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
