James Lane, aged fifty six years, died Saturday evening at his home in North Franklin, from chronic bowel trouble, contracted while in the army. He leaves a wife and eight children. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o’clock at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. G. M. Smith.
