Matthew Kelley, aged eighty years died Wednesday morning at his home three miles east of Edinburg. His death was caused by strangulated hernia. As a last resort a surgical operation was performed last Saturday by Dr. Payne of this city and Doctor Myers of Edinburg. Inflammation set in and together with the extreme old age and enfeebled condition of the patient caused death.
