Mamie C. ’Midge’ Karstedt
Mamie C. ’Midge’ Karstedt, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, in Franklin. She was a resident of Whiteland.
She was born Dec. 19, 1916, in Bethlehem. Her parents were William and Edmona (Brewer) Farley. She was married to Wiley M. Rhoades and later to John K. Karstedt. Both preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy D. Moore of Indianapolis and Sherry A. Secen of Beech Grove; a son, James D. Eldridge of Kentucky; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Rhoades.
She owned and managed real-estate properties.
She was a member of Triumph Church in Greenwood.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave. in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
