DEATH OF NOAH JONES.

Noah Jones died Sunday noon at his home in this city aged sixty-nine years, seven months and ten days. He had been in failing health for several months from hardening of the arteries but the immediate cause of his death was congestion of the brain which produced a condition of acute insanity.

Deceased was a son of Albert and Nancy Carson Jones and was born in this county Nov. 30, 1840. In 1871 he married Miss Mary E. Jackson of Brownstone. Besides the wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kate Hamilton, of this city and Mrs. Minnie Bess, of Indianapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Cross, of Indianapolis and Mrs. Nancy Mower of this city; also six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the residence conducted by Rev. Lewis King. Burial in Greenlawn cemetery, the services at the grave being in charge of the G. A. R. Post.
