Attorney W. W. Hubbard died at his home in Edinburg on Monday morning at 5 o’clock, after a protracted illness of a complication of diseases, aged about seventy-one years. He was born in the east part of the state, but had been a resident of Edinburg for a long number of years. He taught school for a number of years in Franklin County and afterwards in Johnson County, but for the past several years had been devoting his time to collecting for various firms and attending to probate business. He was twice married and his second wife survives him. He leaves four children by his first wife, namely Charles Hubbard of Kansas; Wm. Hubbard of California; Geo. Hubbard of Minnesota, and Mrs. W. T. Cutschall of Ohio. His son Charles arrived here Tuesday and his son William is expected to reach here this evening, and the funeral will likely take place Friday. The deceased was a Mason and the order will have charge.—Ed. Courier.
