The bright little daughter of John Holstein and wife died Saturday night of cholera infantum. The funeral was held Monday morning from the resi­dence, conducted by Rev. L. P. Mar­shall. Burial at Greenlawn cemetery.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Hensley Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer's Record Number 25, page 120 records that Edith Elizabeth Holstein died at about 5:45 o’clock a. m. on 8 Jul 1900 at her residence in Franklin City from acute hydrocephalus of one day’s duration, disease causing death cholera infantum of three days’ duration, aged one year, and twenty-three days. She was female, white, single and no occupation recorded, born in Indiana. Her father's name was John Holstein and her mother's maiden name Jennie Mead, both born in Indiana. The informant was J. W. Dixon. Edith was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery on 9 Jul 1900, E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
