Uncle Dick Hogan about ninety years of age, perhaps the oldest citizen of Johnson county, died Wednesday morning about 3 o’clock. The funeral ceremonies have not been fully arranged at this writing. Mr. H. was an old soldier of the Mexican war and was drawing a pension of $30 per month. The deceased has been blind for a number of years. He was a strong believer in the Catholic faith and will be buried under the auspices of the Catholic church at the Runkle cemetery.
