ORIS HOGAN, 77

Oris E. Hogan, 77, Morgantown, died March 30, 2004, at Morgantown Health Care Inn.

The son of the late John and Zola E. (Smith) Hogan, he was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Johnson County.

Hogan was employed by New York Central Railroad in Beech Grove (now Conrail) as a storeroom helper from 1947 until his retirement in 1989.

He was a member of Franklin Memorial Church and enjoyed hunting, walking and riding his bike.

Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth H. Hogan, Bargersville, and Scott H. Hogan, Trafalgar.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of the service.

Oris E. Hogan, 77, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Morgantown Health Care Inn. He was a resident of Morgantown.

He was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Johnson County. His parents were John and Zola E. (Smith) Hogan. Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth H. Hogan of Bargersville and Scott H. Hogan of Trafalgar; three nephews; and a niece.

He was employed by New York Central Railroad, now known as Conrail, in Beech Grove as a storeroom helper from 1947 until his retirement in 1989.

He was a member of Franklin Memorial Church and Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.

He enjoyed hunting, walking and riding his bike.

The Rev. Don Whetstine will conduct a service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation and Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

The service for Oris Hogan was 1:30 p.m. April 1, 2004, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown. The Rev. Don Whetstine officiated.

Hogan, 77, Morgantown, died March 30, 2004, at Morgantown Health Care.

Musical prelude included "The Old Rugged Cross," "The Eastern Gate, "Amazing Grace" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Pallbearers were Eugene, Raymond and Robert Smith, Jeff Mosburg, Barry Whetstine and Kenneth L. Hogan.

Interment was in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.
