Roy Hinkle

Roy Hinkle, 81, died in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife, Violet; one daughter, Mrs. Dallas (Lois) Crooke, Jr., Columbus; two grandsons: Randy Crooke, Mandan, N.D., and Alan Crooke, Saranac, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Laud (Irene) Webb, Columbus; and one brother, Raymond Hinkle, West Carrollton, Ohio. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg.

The services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Thiel officiating, and with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The family suggests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Decatur County Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.

ROY HINKLE

Word has been received here of the death of Roy Hinkle, 81, who died Monday at the Greensburg Hospital.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Howe-Gilliland Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial will be Thursday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

He married Violet Wirey and she survives.

Other survivors include a daughter Lois Crooke of Columbus, a twin brother Raymond of Dayton, Ohio; sister Irene Webb of Columbus; a niece Jean Denk, Edinburgh; and a brother and sister-in-law Floyd Wirey and Lillian Wirey of Edinburgh; and two grandsons.
