ROGER HIBBS
Roger Hibbs, 66, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at his residence in Edinburgh.
He was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Erie, Kan. His parents were Orval Elmer and Myrle (Vanderford) Hibbs. He married Sharon (Chandler) Hibbs on May 12, 1973. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Darren Hibbs of Nineveh and Darrell Hibbs of Fairbanks, Alaska; three daughters, Sherry Hibbs Ballestero of Franklin and Brenda Taylor and Sandra Cowan, both of Columbus; three brothers, Richard Hibbs of North Vernon, Wilbur Hibbs of Columbus and Joey Hibbs of Hope; three sisters, Patricia Walls of Columbus, Sandra Slattery of Hope and Karen Cardinal of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Piper.
He was formerly employed by Pinkerton Security, Stadler Packing and Amos-Hill Associates.
The Rev. Barbara Grace will conduct a graveside service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh is handling arrangements.
