Phyllis A. (Hawhee) Hert
Phyllis A. (Hawhee) Hert, 80, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born March 27, 1923, in Farmersburg. Her parents were Lee and Gladys (Waggoner) Hawhee. She married Oral H. Hert on Sept. 6, 1941, and they had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2001. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Hert Fiscus of Greenwood; a brother, Ric Hawhee of Florida; a sister, Ann Stanbrough of Lapel; one granddaughter; one grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a co-founder of Grandma Had One Antiques in Nashville, Ind., for several years.
She was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School.
She was a resident of the Country Charm Retirement Center.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from noon until time of service Monday. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
