The funeral services of Mrs. James Hensley were conducted at ten o’clock Sunday at Mt. Carmel church by Rev. Homer Eshelman, pastor of the Tra­falgar Christian church. Rev. Eshel­man took his text from the ninetieth psalm. The interment took place in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mary E. Gillaspy Hensley, daughter of Robert and Nancy Gillaspy, was born in Hensley township, Feb. 11, 1855. She was united in marriage to James Hensley in 1870, who, with three children, Leonard, Emmett and Mrs. Loran Green, survive. A son, Everett, died while small.

She expired suddenly, Wednesday November 13th, shortly after retiring. She had been in gradually failing health for several years.

One brother, Joseph Gillaspy, and one sister, Mrs. Clara Beeler, survive.

Mrs. Hensley was a charter member of the Mt. Carmel Christian church.
