OBITUARY.
Myrtle Henderson daughter of Asbery and Jennie Henderson, was born February 9, 1883, and departed this life, January 15, 1894, aged ten years 11 months and 6 days. The little bud of hope that was just beginning to unfold its golden petals to the glory of the day, was plucked from its fair bower to bloom in fairer climes in the deathless vase of heaven. The burial took place Tuesday at 1 o’clock.
Thy gentle voice now is hushed,
Thy warm true heart is still,
And on thy young and innocent brow
To resting death’s cold chill.
Thy hands are clasped upon thy breast
We have kissed thy lovely brow.
And in our aching hearts we know
We have no darling now.
Call not back the dear departed
Anchored safe where storms are o’er,
On the border land we left them
Soon to meet and part no more.
