Frank Heflen, age 65, passed away Saturday morning at 7:40 o’clock at his home south of Edinburg. Mr. Heflen had been in failing health for some time and last Monday suffered a stroke of paralysis. Funeral services will be held from the late home Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Burial will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Heflen was born on June 29, 1865, in Bartholomew County the son of Roy Fentley and Katherine Steinbarger Heflen. On July 28, 1892, he was united in marriage to Miss Maude Perry. With the exception of fourteen years spent in Alabama, he lived most of his life in this community. Mr. Heflen was a farmer and one of the esteemed men of the county. He was a member of the Old Union Church and Masonic Lodge.

Surviving with the widow are three sons, Leonard, of Alabama, James, of near Edinburg, and Howard, of west of Franklin. Two brothers, George and William Helflen, living west of Edinburg, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Henderson, of Brownstown, and seven grandchildren also survive.
