Death of Mrs. Hazelett.

Mrs. Elenor Hazelett, wife of Matthew Hazelett, the well-known horse dealer and livery man, died Mon­day morning at her home in this city after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Wed­nesday morning at 10 o’clock at the re­sidence, conducted by Rev. L. P. Mar­shall of the Presbyterian church. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Deceased had been a member of the Presbyterian church since a young girl, and always lived a consistent Christian life. She was a devoted wife and mother, and greatly esteemed by all her acquaintances.

Mrs. Hazelett’s maiden name was McClannahan. She was born in Ireland, June 13, 1824, and was married April 3, 1849 to Matthew Hazelett, and the same year came with her husband to New York City. Residing there one year, they removed to Cincinnati, where they remained until 1852, when they came to Johnson County, where they have continued to reside until the present time. She was the mother of four children, Jacob, William, Margaret and Mary, all of whom survive and reside in this city.
