Death of Mrs. Hays.

Mrs. Hays, wife of Wm. Hays, died Saturday at the home of her mother, Mrs. Daugherty, on Kentucky-st. For several weeks prior to her death it was known that she could not long survive. Funeral services Monday at the Chris­tian church, of which she was a mem­ber, conducted by Elder E. L. Frazier, a former pastor.

Deceased was born in Hancock coun­ty, Tenn., June 11, 1862. She came, when but a child, with her parents to this place. She was married to Wm. Hays, March 26, 1885. To this union five children were born, four of whom are now living.
