Mrs. Cena [sic] Haymaker died at her home at this place Saturday night after a short illness of pneumonia. She leaves three daughters and an aged husband to mourn their loss. The funeral was held Monday at ten o’clock. Burial at Hope­well cemetery.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Kinder, White River Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 8, page 234 records that Sena A. Haymaker died at about 11 o’clock a. m. on 21 Apr 1900 at her residence near Kinder from pneumonia of ten days’ duration, contributory cause asthma, aged fifty-two years, five months and three days. She was female, white, married and a housewife, born in Indiana. Her father’s last name was Surface, born in Virginia, and her mother’s maiden name Nanca [sic] Boles, born in North Carolina. The informant was J. P. Barger. She was buried in Hopewell Cemetery on 23 Apr 1900, Covert & Covert, undertaker.
