L. Louise (Bay) Hawkins
      L. Louise (Bay) Hawkins, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, 
at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.  She was a resident of 
Indianapolis.
      She was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Brown County.  Her parents 
were James Richard and Only Oma (Whitlock) Bay.  She married 
Harold Hawkins on Aug. 12, 1933.  He preceded her in death. 
Survivors include three sons, Russell L. Hawkins of Monrovia, 
John E. Hawkins of Spearsville and Raymond C. Hawkins of 
Indianapolis; five daughters, Patricia Cooper of Martinsville, 
Margaret Ketcherside of California, Sharon Dykes of Moores-
ville, Linda Kennemore of Indianapolis and Shawneka Walters
 of Kingman; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 
and several great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in 
death by three sons. 
      She was a homemaker.
      A service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Wilson
 St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Chapel of the Chimes, 
1234 Prospect St. in Indianapolis.  Friends may call from 1 to 8 
p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rest Haven 
Cemetery in Edinburgh.
