EDINBURGH — Eddie Joe Harmon, 67, of Edinburgh died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Indiana University Medical Center in In­dianapolis.

Mr. Harmon was a former operat­or at Golden Foundry in Columbus and a former employee with the Greenthumb program for the town of Edinburgh. He was also a mem­ber of the Double Y Saddle Club.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Harmon was born in Adair County, Ky., Sept. 26, 1933, the son of the late Marvin Harmon and Ready Cook Harmon of Adair County. He married Margie Burris in 1962. She died May 15, 1992.

Survivors include sons, Michael and Billy Harmon, both of Edin­burgh, and Ronnie Harmon of Adair County; a daughter, Patricia Rich­ardson of Edinburgh; a stepson, Buddy Littlejohn of Columbus; step­daughters, Diane Kanouse of Hope and Cathy Pass of Edinburgh; brothers, Buddy and Jerry Harmon, both of Adair County; a sister, Sissy Stapleton of Adair County; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grand­children.

He was preceded in death by a son, William Jeffery Harmon.

Eddie Joe Harmon

Eddie Joe Harmon, 67, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was a longtime resident of Edinburgh.

He was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Adair County, Ky. His father was Marvin Harmon. His mother is Ready (Cook) Harmon of Kentucky. He married MarEddie Joe Harmongie (Burris) Harmon in 1962. She preceded him in death May 15, 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Richardson of Edin­burgh; three sons, Michael Harmon and Billy Harmon, both of Edinburgh, and Ronnie Harmon of Adair County, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Diane Kanouse of Hope and Cathy Pass of Edinburgh; a stepson, Buddy Littlejohn of Columbus; a sister, Sissy Stapleton of Adair County, Ky.; two brothers, Buddy Har­mon and Jerry Harmon, both of Adair County, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William Jeffrey Har­mon.

He was formerly an operator at Golden Foundry in Columbus. He was formerly employed by the Green Thumb program in Edinburgh.

The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. to­day at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edin­burgh.
