Nineveh, Dies

Mrs. Minnie Coffman Hants, wife of Oscar Hants, of Nineveh, died in her home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. She had been an invalid since 1956, and in a critical cond­ition for a week.

Funeral services have been ar­ranged for 2 o’clock Friday after­noon and will be in the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home. The Rev. B. A. Lawrence, pastor of the Nineveh Christian church, will be in charge of the services and burial will be made in the Nineveh cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home at any time after 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon and until time for the services, which they are invited to attend.

Mrs. Hants was the daughter of the late Young and Elizabeth Goetz Coffman and was born in the area which is now part of Camp Atter­bury. She attended the schools in Nineveh Township.

Marked 50th Anniversary

She became the bride of Mr. Hants at Nineveh on Aug. 16, 1903, and five children were born to them. In 1953, they observed their golden wedding anniversary.

A life resident of Nineveh, Mrs. Hants had maintained her interest in all community affairs and accepted her illness with patience and under­standing.

She was a member of the Nineveh Christian church and a charter member of the Nineveh chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

Those who survive with the husband are a son, Robert Hants, of Nineveh, and four daughters, Mrs. Mabel Marie Ware, Mrs. Kathryn Maley, Mrs. Ethyl Mohr, of Indian­apolis; and Mrs. Doris Jean Brown­ing, of Nineveh.

Others remaining are six grand­children, six great-grand­children; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Waltz, of Trafalgar; Mrs. Eva Dunham, of Indianapolis; and three brothers, Jacob Coffman, Robert Coffman, and William A. Coffman, of Frank­lin.

RITES CONDUCTED
FOR MINNIE HANTS

Last rites were conducted for Mrs. Minnie Hants, wife of Oscar Hants, of Nineveh, in the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home Friday after­noon at 2 o’clock.

The services were in charge of the Rev. B. A. Lawrence, pastor of the Nineveh Christian church, where Mrs. Hants was a member. Dale Mitchell sang two hymns and was accompanied by Mrs. Clarence Wright, organist.

Were Pallbearers

Burial took place in the Nineveh cemetery with Lowell Hants, Paul Coffman, Arthur Steinbarger, Olda Richeson, James Mills and Billy Sheek, nephews, carrying the casket.

After being critically ill for a week, Mrs. Hants died at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at her home. She had been an invalid since 1956.

A life resident of Nineveh township, she and Mr. Hants had celebrated their golden wedding an­niversary in 1953.

The husband, a son, four daugh­ters, six grand­children, six great-grand­children, two sisters and three brothers are the survivors.
