James G. Hanna II

James G. Hanna II, 47, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at his residence in
Greenwood.

He was born June 27, 1954, in Indianapolis. His parents are James G. Hanna I of
Florida and Linda Jean Cooper-Harper of Livingston, Tenn. He married DeAnne
(Freeman) Johnson-Hanna on Oct. 21, 2000. She survives. Other survivors include
two sons, Anthony Hanna of Greenwood and Robert Hanna of Texas; a stepson, Casey
Johnson of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Kristen Johnson of Greenwood; two sisters,
Belinda Jean Sherlock of Indianapolis and Jamie Rose of Ohio; and six
grandchildren.

He was a 1972 graduate of Northwest High School. He graduated from IUPUI and
Lincoln Technical Institute.

He was employed for one year by One Stop Automotive as a service manager. He had
also worked for the CSX Railroad for 15 years before retiring. He had also been
the owner/operator of Hanna Service Center for more than 12 years. He was also a
real estate agent, working for Century 21 before becoming an independent agent.

He was a member of Sons of the American Legion and 500 Moose Lodge and had been
a United States Auto Club official for the Indianapolis 500 for more than 10
years.

The Rev. Shan Rutherford will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Wednesday at
Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may
call from 3 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
