      FRANKLIN  - Florence Hand, 94, of Edinburgh, 
died at 7:35 a.m. today at Johnson County Hospital here.
      The widow of John V. Hand, who died Feb. 18, 1975, 
she was a lifelong resident of Johnson County.
      Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Michael 
Welch at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic 
Church at Edinburgh, with burial at Rest Haven Cemetery 
there.
      Persons may call at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home 
here from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.  A scripture service will be 
held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
      Mrs. Hand was born Jan. 16, 1887, the daughter of 
George and Nette Jenkins DeHart.  She was married to 
Hand at Columbus Aug. 16, 1909.
      She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
      Survivors include a daughter, Annette Lacy of Indian-
apolis; a nephew, Raymond Lowes of Franklin, who she 
raised; a sister, Edell Pritchard of Acton, three grandchildren
 and six great-grandchildren.
      Memorials may be made to the donors' favorite charities.
